A Community Health Center-in the heart of Sonoma County is seeking a Chief Medical Officer. This is an organization which provides excellent, affordable medical care and health education to the community in a supportive and culturally appropriate environment.
Function: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Medical Officer is a key member of the executive team whose primary role is to inspire and lead the clinical staff for the organization. The goal of the CMO is to ensure timely access to high quality medical care for the patients through clinical systems improvements, recruitment and retention of providers, supervision of site Associate Medical Directors, and oversight of the quality improvement initiatives. In addition, the Chief Medical Officer provides clinical expertise and leadership in the design and implementation of new projects and innovations at the Health Center.
Additionally-help lead the family practice residency program, which is currently a very successful component of the communities leadership in family medicine.
Specific Tasks/Duties:
Clinical Duties (approximately 16 hours a week)
·Provides for the diagnosis and treatment of health center patients within the scope of his/her license to practice medicine.
·Provides follow-up on patients seen including chart notations, lab review, and referrals to specialists.
·Provides back-up for mid-level providers on site, or by phone during the day or after hours.
Management Responsibilities (approximately 16 hours a week)
·Participates in Provider meetings, QA meetings, Leadership Team meetings and other professional activities as requested by the Chief Executive Officer.
·Oversees the management of the provider schedule to ensure access to care
·Leads recruitment and retention efforts for provider staff positions.
Supervises and supports site Associate Medical Directors through goal setting, coaching, and mentoring.
·Provide leadership and support for quality initiatives.
·Participates and/or leads organizational projects that improve access and quality of care.
Qualifications:
Active California medical license, preferably in Family Practice, OB experience preferred, and good standing with the Medical Quality Control Board of the State of California.
Maintains hospital privileges at two local medical centers.
Minimum 3-years experience in a leadership position
Spanish fluency preferred

Community health center in Santa Rosa is looking for a Psychiatrist.
Part time position for a well qualified, bilingual psychiatrist to work with a terrific team of physicians in a very rewarding community location in the heart of Sonoma County. Opportunity to job share in another community clinic if full time employment is of interest.
Looking for someone to perform psychiatric diagnosis, treatment interpretations and recommendations. Treat and dispense medications. Perform at least one drop in clinic per week for urgent cases and refills for established patients. Practice in a community mental health delivery system. Communicate with primary care physicians and prepare/maintain concise records.

Consisting of 5 primary care locations, a mental health division, a teen clinic plus more-this is a growing and excelling community facility with strong ties and values.
Additionally, it runs its own successful family practice residency program.
This is a non-profit, federally qualified health center and is the largest community health center in the county. They serve over 12,000 patients yearly.
In 1992, 6 aspiring physicians going through family residency together, start dreaming of creating a family clinic to help the under served population in the area. In 1996-with the help of two hospitals, the clinic dream became a reality. They began with two doctors, a medical assistant and about 10 patients per week.
They earned their FQHC status in 2002 which started the tremendous growth pattern it is currently on.and a year later, they partnered with a Drug Abuse center ) to provide medical care to the clients of a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. The next year, they took over operation of an Adult Day Services program culminating a joint effort between local hospitals, health, and senior agencies to keep the program from shutting down.
In 2007 -They took over operation of a Family Practice Clinic associated with a local Family Medicine Residency Program, With this additional site the annual patient visits jumped to over 100,000.
This past year, they took over operation of a Children's Health Center at a Homeless Clinic.
This is an exciting health center to work for, not only in terms of growth, but in the caring they show for their patients and community it serves.
