And--don't be afraid of the snow. The Chinook winds are warm and pass through the region December through March--this makes it so that the snow doesn't actually accumulate. Total snowfall averages about the same as Salt Lake City and just under Denver's. Mild temps in the autumn months make this a truly nice place to be.
